Why I Chose Real Estate

Every career journey has a starting point, a moment when you realize what you’re meant to do. For me, that moment came when I recognized my deep love for helping people and my fascination with the places we call home. Real estate had always been a passion as long as I can remember - driving around towns looking at houses and admiring architectural aspects, landscaping, styles and locations. No two properties are the same and it keeps it exciting!

Before I became a real estate agent, I had already spent years immersed in my community, building relationships and learning about other and my surroundings.  After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, I spent about 10 years teaching piano in my studio and personal training with a side of coaching group fitness classes. I loved my time in those professions, but there was something missing. I’ve always been someone who pays attention to details—the way a front porch invites you in, current home trends, or how natural light can transform a room. I realized that real estate combined these passions with the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives in a way that I had always wanted to be apart of. 

I chose real estate because I love helping families and individuals take their next big step, whether it’s finding the perfect home to grow into or transitioning to a new chapter. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of such an important milestone, and I take that responsibility seriously.

Another reason I was drawn to this profession is the chance to create meaningful connections. Real estate isn’t just about properties—it’s about people. It’s about understanding their goals, navigating challenges together, and celebrating successes. There’s nothing quite like handing over the keys to a dream home or helping a seller feel confident they made the right decision.

Real estate also allows me to bring my creativity to the table. Whether it’s developing unique marketing strategies for listings, planning open house events, or finding innovative ways to serve my clients, I love that every day presents a new opportunity to think outside the box.

Most importantly, real estate gives me the flexibility to balance my career with my family life. Being a mom, I know firsthand how important it is to feel at home. That’s why I pour my heart into helping others find a place where they can make memories, just like I’ve done with my family.
